# India's Grid Pulse: all records # India's record solar day: 721 GWh on 1 October 2026 India's solar plants generated 721 GWh (million units) of electricity on 1 October 2026, the highest single-day solar generation in India's history. Even in September this year, solar averaged 615 GWh a day, up 44% from 428 GWh in September 2025. Solar's share of India's electricity consumption rose from 8.8% to 11.4% over the same period.
